Should I have to pay PayPal seller fees if I am a buyer?

Bid and paid for an item, received item. S&H charges 2 times cost of stamp and envelope!...seller agreed to partial refund, however expected me to pay for his Paypal seller fees, as in his listing (Hidden in postage fees!)...Is this allowed?...I have NEVER had this experience before.

Any and all hell help much appreciated.

Hi robertb... Firstly , i'm reading that you feel you are entitled to a rebate which is not really the case as you agreed to the shipping when purchased.

Second , its shipping/handling not just the postage. Sellers do not have a separate cost center for ebay/PayPal fees so must be factored in somewhere. Regardless, buyers are paying one way or another.

Its silly of any seller to open that can of worms with a buyer. Should simply have told you the amount of the rebate, if any. I'm assuming that the seller did not charge for say, priority and ship by a cheaper service. That's another matter.
