Sold item worldwide, american won auction, paypal says it can't ship to their address

I listed on eBay.ca an item for sale Worldwide.  The Canada Post shipping calculator works for all countries but U.S.  An American won the auction and I e-mailed him the shipping method and $amount.  Paypal tells him they cannot ship to his address when he tries to pay that amount.

Don't be silly.

The USA is not only Canada's largest shipping destination, well over 80% of Canadian eBay sales go to the USA.

Invoice your buyer directly.

Go to canadapost.ca. Enter (in metric) the dimensions and weight of the parcel. Choose a shipping service.

Enter your postal code and the buyer's zip code or state.

Choose again your service.

Go to the customer's invoice, enter the amount of postage you got from Canada Post.

Send.

When he pays, ship.

If he can't respond to that, he is entering his address incorrectly.

When you set up your next listing, use Custom Destination. Choose USA. Enter the flat fee or choose Calculated Shipping.

Choose another destination. Do NOT choose either USA or N&S America. Enter the flat fee or choose Calculated Shipping for overseas customers.

Now your overseas customers will see one price and your USA customers another, lower, price.
