If you select UPS as your shipment method, and the package gets lost or damaged, there is no insurance, even though eBays says there is. You can start a claim, but UPS records show eBay as the shipper, and you can't get any insurance proceeds. UPS won't even talk to you about the claim , as you are not the shipper, and they advise to call eBay. And eBay, of course, claims they have nothing to do with it and tell you to call back to UPS.
