How do I get in touch with the buyer?

I just sold an item on Ebay. So I wanted to get in touch with her to thank her etc. Is going into her profile the only way? Or is there not a message centre available where I could send her a message. I don't see anything there as an access.

Also, are there fees I will have to pay? Does Ebay send you an email when they're due?

You can reach her either through your Sellers Hub page with the transaction drop-down(option towards bottom of the list) or by clicking on their name and the contact button with their name and just fill in the item number you sold at the prompt.

It's called feedback.

Leaving feedback on shipment in my opinion is a good way to encourage the buyer to leave you feedback, which every new seller needs,

You could also tuck a note into her shipment.

Yes.

Your customer's Paypal payment will have those fees (30 cents+ 2.7%-3.7% of total payment)  taken immediately on payment.

Do NOT ship until you see the customer's payment in your PP account. Do NOT believe any other notice of payment.

Your eBay fees are taken on either the first or fifteeth of the month, although you can make manual payments at any time.
Many sellers have their eBay fees taken from their PP accounts, keeping all the bookkeeping together. Others supply a credit card number.

Thanks for your reply, but I meant how to get in touch with the buyer, not a feedback. I know what a feedback is. No, after she purchased I wanted to send her a direct message to thank her for her purchase, but I couldn't see where I could send her this message, other than by going into her profile and click on something there to contact. Is going into her profile the only way to contact her? What if she doesn't have a profile?

Don't. That's what I meant by "needy". It will at best puzzle the customer and at worst set you up as an easy mark for a scam. Does the manager of the supermarket wait outside the door to shake your hand and thank you for shopping there? There is a Contact Buyer link on the original listing in your Orders . Look on the top left of the listing. Don't use it.
