Item specifics for vintage items

Hi

I have gotten a couple of item specifics missing notices for my ebay.ca items. They were on candle holders that i have listed. One of the notices wants an MPN. I think that is a part number?

All my items are used vintage toys or household items. I have been filling out as many item specifics as I can apply. I have tied over and over to add  more specifics to the candle holders yet I keep getting the same message asking for more.

It won't let me opt out of putting MPN in that one candle listing.

Any tips? Should I be listing in a vintage category? Is there such a category? Should I end my listing and start over? If so what specifics do  other sellers fill in for vintage used items?

If I don't fill in the MPN will my item be at the bottom of the search results?

Oh my my head is spinning!

Any counsel from wise and experienced ebay sellers I will very much welcome!

Thanks in advance!

Sherie

You can always try googling and see if you can get a match that resembles your item listed. If you are unsure try either Unknown or N/A. Some fields will let you add. Others will not. If it does not you may try your other possibility and list in a different category. That "should" be a last recourse.

If you have fields that you are unable to fix (when using eBay's tool) at the bottom of the form there is a do not show again. Check that off and seems to resolve in most cases when you are coming up blank for answers. From my recent experience, some are much more easier to resolve than others and take a little trial and error to complete.

I believe that is a drop down menu.

And the other choice is "Not Applicable"  just as the demand  for an ISBN is not applicable on books published before those became available.

BTW -- I have found (again mostly with books) that when I use the word VINTAGE in the title, my category choices often include a vintage category.

The Categories are so messed up since they dropped allowing us to Search ALL categories and use the actual category number somewhere around 2005, that we just have to do our best.

Once on the site, however, I believe most customers Search using key words for the title, rather than MPNs, ISBNs, or UPCs, which are more used in third party searches like on google.
You will notice the left hand Search which is also used to narrow searches by actual human customers, does not include those numbers in most categories.
