Who is charging you tax?

The seller sets up his tax levels BUT only if he is registered to collect and remit taxes.

 

GST /HST/PST/QST should only be charged when the buyer is in the same jurisdiction as the seller. That is GST should be charged to our Canadian buyers, but not to foreign buyers. HST/PST/QST  are only charged to buyers in the same province.

 

Or are you importing your stock from a seller who uses the GSP?

The GSP is not set up for commercial (B2B) use.

 

 

Or does this have something to do with eBay's reluctant agreement to stop ducking GST on our fees but still managing not to pay the back taxes owed but not collected?
