why can't i charge more than i want to charge?

It is my first time using eBay and I would like to charge a certain price for my item.

Your system is telling me that I'm not allowed.

I've never used eBay before and probably won't use it much after. I just have one item that I would like to sell.

Can someone let me know what is up!

But don't be fooled. All sellers on ebay, new or old, proven or unproven, have basically ZERO protection on ebay. The buyer is ALWAYS right.
