Hi friends , I would just lke to know from a Canadian seller , have you shipped anything to the US since Aug 29 th ? say it was one item , shipped by UPS valued at 100 dollars . what was the process and who paid the tariff ? I just dont know if it is worth it to open my store back up, or to just be done , thank you.
Be aware that if the courier (UPS or FedEx) fails to collect the tariff which they prepaid to get the shipment into the USA that it is their policy to collect it from you.
And they have all your financial information from when you paid for shipping.
Oh and Canada Post is on strike.
Yeah, I've shipped a bunch of things to the US and haven't paid any extra charges. I've stopped worrying about those things. If it makes it, it makes it, if it dosen't, then it dosen't. I ship using UPS and when its gone its gone.
Nope, I have not. Had a long conversation with the postmistress yesterday (argh!!, they were literally in the process of declaring a strike while I mailed 2 packages; guess she didn't know?), where she explained the rigmarole of the "Zonos" app to use Canada Post. Not worth it for me. I don't know how the UPS & Fedex tariff collection works. I ended USA shipping on my few listings. ☹️
