Oh wait.

Are YOU the buyer?

Proofreading is your friend.

Most warranties are offered and carried out by the manufacturer.

When you got your item, did you get a warranty card and did you send it to the manufacturer?

Have you attempted to find a local dealer in the product to carry out whatever repairs may be needed?

If you did not do that-- sigh.

Most manufacturers will not honour a warranty for items that are not sold by their accredited dealers.

Which means that most eBay warranties are meaningless.

The manufacturer wants a good papertrail, and while some eBay sellers are accredited dealers, most are selling seconds, refurbished, liquidated and out of date products. Most are still good deals and the sellers are helpful and honest, but the warranties mean nothing.

You should go to your Paypal account.

At the top of your account page under Tools is the Resolution Centre.

You have 180 days from payment to file an Item Not As Described dispute.

You are very close to that date so do it NOW.

The first suggestion is to contact the seller. You've done that so go to the next step.

Ask Paypal to step in and escalate to a Claim.

PP will tell you to return the inoperable doohickey to the seller with Proof of Delivery.

If he is in the USA or overseas this will be expensive.

When the doohickey shows as delivered, you will be refunded.

Do not accept an offer of a replacement.

Do not close the Claim until you have your refund.

In future, proofread your posts.

Has your buyer asked for a refund?

The most appropriate answer is No Refunds Without Return.

When the buyer has returned the item, you send a full refund.

KISS.

It is best to do this before your buyer opens a Dispute with eBay or Paypal.
