Is eBay in some sort of safe mode?

I have noticed several regular features that stopped working and then started a few days later. Currently eBay is not automatically deleting trash from the messages folder after 6 months. Maybe eBay was more compromised by the online hacking  attack than we are being told.

I suspect ebay is tinkering around with a lot of things, the (somewhat) recent hack is just

another imposition.  They have made all sorts of superfluous changes (like our erstwhile

Saved Sellers list is now "Sellers you follow"), and even prior to the official 'hack attack'

announcement, users were baffled by features which seemed to come & go.

Just have a read through some of these message boards.

Whether or not users will ever enjoy the comfort of blissful homeostasis on ebay is anybody's

guess.
