Why would ebay delete tracking numbers from listed shipped items?

I sent a parcel to Turkey at the end of February via Canada Post with tracking number. The buyer contacted me today saying that he has not yet received it. Now I realise that by slow boat (it was a large parcel) it could take a few more weeks, but I went to run the tracking number anyway and it was gone, as well as several others.

Why would ebay delete tracking numbers from sold items?

When you printed out the PP shipping label, the tracking number would be on the bottom half of the label.

If you purchased your shipping at the PO counter, the receipt would have the tracking number on it.

As a general principle, if your buyer can't afford Air Mail (with or without tracking), he can't afford your item. If the item does not arrive in a prompt and timely manner, it is you who is out money, not him.

Some sales are not worth having.
