Site Speed Issues

All pages take way too long to load and I surf .ca and .uk sites.

 I have an HP xw4400 workstation w 4gb ram and I've maxed out my service provider download speed to 30MBPS.

I know 4gb is not much, but all other sites, including buying sites work well on my pc, so this seems to be an issue with ebay sites only.

I've also limited to 25 items per page when searching and still it takes way too long to load.

Is there anything in settings or elsewhere that I can verify to improve the download speed?

I recently took the advice of another user to download AdBlock for my browser. It has made a big difference, especially with eBay which is rife with ads that slow down your browser.
