What changed? Before when I entered an amount to bid and clicked on bid a small confirm bid window would come up and you could watch the time tick down on the item page. Now when you click on the place bid it takes you to a full size page to confirm the bid and you can not see how much time is left in the auction.
Hello 'parkay',
When was the last time you were bidding on an auction? The change has been
up & running for some time now.
I suspect it was implemented because the old way forced snipers to have 2 widows open.
One to watch the countdown and the other in which the bidder had the amount entered
and was poised and ready to strike with the Confirmation.
All that switching back and forth. . . . eeew.
In my opinion the new system is vastly superior. You might prefer the old way.
The new way also makes it very obvious that a bid confirmation is taking place, - meaning it
will be a lot harder for those indecisive folks to insist they bid "by mistake".
The countdown is still there, though. When looking at a listing, if you enter your bid amount,
click Place bid, then the pop-up shows the time remaining in orange in the upper left quadrant.
It counts down by the second on the last hour. If you are sniping, you watch and wait, and
then click Confirm when you are ready.
Is that not what you have?
