"GOT AWAY" messages from EBAY

Why do I keep receiving these "Got Away" for items I either purchased a long time ago or did not bid on at all ?

usually it is because the items were in your watch list.. then someone else bought it. hence the GOT AWAY message ..

as I said earlier I am receiving the message for items I purchased. I rarely put anything on my watch list, if I do I remove it within a short time.

I think it's a bug. I got a few myself but not lately.
