eBay has introduced a new feature to ensure buyers and sellers enter the correct shipping address during checkout and when making address adjustments in account settings.
Typos and spelling errors happen. However, they can create confusion when a seller is attempting to ship a package to the correct street address. These minor mistakes can result in “Item Not Received” cases, cancellations, or packages being returned at the expense of the seller.
Address Validation automatically scans addresses for potential errors and typos, checking them against the postal service records. In the event that a user accidentally enters incorrect address information in their account settings or during the checkout process, eBay will provide an automated notification with a suggested address.
This feature is now live across eBay.ca and the eBay app in Canada.
