I've never seen this method used by a seller. Is this reliable?

Thanks!

Howdy, from Central Alberta.

I have had packets shipped via the eBay International Standard Delivery service. I've found this method to to be more reliable, and cheaper than the GSP.  My orders all fall under the $150/$40 threshhold, so shipments are more economical this way.

As to delivery, CP is the last mile carrier so I actually get my order. The GSP uses Intelcom here, so dispach is rather unreliable, to say the least.

Never heard of it. This sounds like part of a scam to me.

Unless it’s what the seller is calling either the Global Shipping Program or the eBay International Standard Delivery service. We’d really need to see the listing to make an educated call.

IS this associated with an actual eBay listing? What does the “Shipping” tab in the listing say about the shipping method?

Most of the hatred for the GSP vanished with the new NAFTA which raised our duty-free allowance to $150  and our tax-free allowance to $40.  This reduced the prepaid import fees which make GSP purchases seem very expensive.

Remaining is the spoke and hub delivery system which sends the purchase to Kentucky then (usually) Mississaugua, before entering the Canadian mailstream. With heavy use of all methods of shipping GSP has been subcontracting to some inadequate carriers for last mile delivery.

The newer  eBay International Standard Delivery combines the worst of GSP (spoke and hub) with the worst of courier (paying import fees on delivery). Plus higher brokerage fees.

Where is the Seller located?
