Buyer has not picked up item from post office

So the person I sold my item to has not picked up their package and it's been a week. They have another week left. The received a notice card and their email was automatically updated with notifications from Canada post. In the event, they leave the item there and it is returned to me will eBay still charge me the final value fee? and if so am I responsible for paying that?

Regardless, the buyer is probably just slow. I don’t doubt they’ll retrieve their parcel. You might want to send them a polite note indicating it awaits them. Sometimes those cards left by the post office get misplaced between the flyers.
