I think I got scammed by a seller sending it to the wrong address

I ordered a item and it said today out for delivery on the Canada Post app only it was in Alberta when I'm in Ontario. What makes me nervous is when I look up "seller sent item to wrong address" a bunch of Reddit posts come up about eBay siding with the seller because it says delivered and they provided tracking. I opened a item not recieved case and they said I have to wait til October 15 now before I can ask them to step in. I honestly had no idea there was so many scams being run on eBay but after a simple Google search it's clear it been happening for years and it a bad problem. Completely different address on my profile that it should have been shipped 2. Will they see it got delivered to a different province? It's a occulus quest 2 so I'm kind of worried I'll lose all the money. It's not like it was a 10$ book. Any help would be great

I would just add that it's entirely possible the seller got two tracking codes mixed up (especially if they purchased them over the counter at the PO). Your item could still arrive in a few days.  An item going to a completely different province doesn't feel like a scam to me. I can't see it ever being successful. Regardless, you should be fully protected.

Most complaints you'll read about likely correspond more to things like the delivery company taking it to the wrong address or porch pirates (or the more interesting one of USPS marking items as delivered before they actually are in order to avoid penalties for late deliveries).
