Scam !?

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note5 N920A phone from a seller on Ebay. Modified description / I received USD20, gift (simcard 7 day unlimited use).
I have pictures of what I bought.
I also sent the seller the pictures, which proves me.
Please Ebay, investigate.
No one should buy from this seller on Ebay.

On 03/04/2020, the seller modified the description.
the gift is USD20 sim card.It was sent instead of the original.
the phone 07/04/2020 arrived.

The seller changed his listing after he had shipped your item. Your purchase would have been in transit when the listing was changed.

The seller cannot modify the description of the item you bought.

It sounds as if he had multiple items and updated his description of the products after he sold one to you to downgrade the sim card.

If you believe the product you received is not the product you bought (which seems to be the case, although the sim card was described as a "gift" not exactly part of the deal) you can open a Not As Described dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

You may be required to return the ENTIRE purchase, both the sim card and the laptop, to the seller in the same condition it was sent to be refunded.

Or you could leave feedback "Gift of USD60 sim card was only USD20" which will describe your unhappiness.

The short-winded version is, open an 'item not as described' claim.

Go to the Resolution Centre and follow the directions.

Escalate to a claim asap.

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note5 N920A phone from a seller on Ebay.

the USD60 sim card included with the phone / gift / I did not receive / shown in the picture / is in the seller's description.
I bought it on March 21, 2020.

You bought a laptop and the deal included a sim card which the seller claimed was a "$60 value".

You received a laptop and a sim card.

What is the problem?

Is the $20 value printed on the card?  Value and price are not always the same thing*.

You did not receive any warranty information from the seller?

Most manufacturers will not honour warranties that are not from their approved retailers.

This is because the manufacturer does not have a paper trail for the item once it leaves the hands of the approved retailer.

It might be used, refurbished, an insurance liquidation, fallen off a truck. Who knows?

Is there are problem with the laptop that requires the warranty?

You are covered by eBay for 30 days from delivery by the Money Back Guarantee.

Go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page to start a Not As Described Dispute.

You will be required to return the purchase (all of it, including the "gift") in order to get a refund of your payment.

If you missed that deadline, you can do the same with Paypal who allow 180 days from Payment for Disputes. Again you will have to return the entire purchase to the seller to get that refund.

Both systems are completely automated and quite straightforward. They do take a little time to work out, since the other party is allowed to respond to the Dispute, but you should have your money back well within a month.

* For comparison, and to explain my confusion, I sell mint postage here with a face value of (eg) $45 at a discount making the price $36.
