Why are sellers in the US aloud to sell on eBay.ca when they will not ship to Canada?

We all try and get best price when shopping but it's really frustrating when we find a good price and we cannot buy because the seller will not ship to Canada.
Why don't ebay. CA just not allow these seller to be on there.

No.

If a seller lists on a national site, including dotCoM and dotCA, they must give shipping costs for shipping to that nation.

I wonder if you are seeing listings from sellers who do not realize that unless they Block a country, their listings will show on that country's site?

Such listings would tell you as a buyer to contact the seller for the cost of shipping.

EBay recently replaced their Global Shipping Program which sellers had to opt into, with eBay International Shipping (eIS) which has been added to many sellers' accounts without their knowledge.

Like the GSP, it is a freight forwarder, and the seller is not shipping to you but to the eIS plant near Chicago (Glendale Heights IL?) and the plant then ships to you.

You would also see on dotCA such a listing with two currencies for the price.

The correct USdollar price and an estimated price in loonies.

On dotCOM only the US dollar price would appear.

What are you seeing with the problematic listings?

.COM is the original eBay site and is open for business for sellers of various countries...

whether or not they ship to Canada is irrelevant...sellers have the option to choose which countries with which they will do business. Just as buyers have choices, sellers hae choices... and that's the way of the eBay world>>it is what it is..

C'est la vie!.

Que Sera, sera!
