I was going to bid on an item but listing ended before I could do that- item was originally listed for $13.99- several weeks later I contacted seller to see if the item was still available-it is and they are now willing to sell it for $12-- how can they invoice me for this through EBay & Paypal?  I know that I shouldn't give out my email address and  EBay communication prevents this information from being included in an email response to the seller.

If you both want to work through eBay, the easiest way is for the seller to relist the item, using your ID as the title and changing the pricing to reflect your agreement.

Then you search your name, pay, and he ships.

Using your ID as the title means no one else is likely to find it. Using the original description means that is things go pear-shaped you can show the mediator what you thought you were buying.
