Listing will not calculate shipping costs to the USA

Hi there, I recently listed some books for sale and the listings seem to have trouble calculating the shipping price to the States. I am located in Canada and I have selected the USA under the international shipping option. 

When a postal code from the USA is entered to try and calculate the shipping an error shows up "please enter a valid postal code".  

I lost out on one sale because of this. I am fiddled around with the shipping options but haven't been able to solve it yet. Please help me sort this out. Thank you.

You have about a dozen listings without a US shipping cost.

As the previous mentioned there are minimum dimensions for each service and if either of the dimensions are smaller, the calculator won't work.  Also..you mentioned you were using international options...you probably know this but it has to be a specific USA service, not just an international one.

If it doesn't meet requirements, it generally kicks it out when you make the listing - I've had it reject "Small Packet", for example, because it has a limit of 2kg.

There should be an actual error message instead of just "doing nothing".

My listings have been a problem since about the time this was posted, and are still a problem now.

I've called eBay twice since last Saturday, and there's been nothing done yet, despite my request for escalation.

I set it for Canada - free basic shipping, with three paid upgrade options, USA by three methods and International Tracked Packet for everything else, and it just lists "free shipping", free local pickup for Canada - "enter a valid postal code" for USA, and "seller will ship here but please ask them for a shipping cost" for every other country.  Completely useless!

Been with eBay 21 years and have never had this much of a problem with their system.

I agree that there should be an error message but there isn't. It definitely does not reject all listings if the dimensions are off. Whoever set up the calculator here set it up so that it will not work if the dimensions are less than the minimum dimensions on Canada Post's site. However, in at least some cases, CP accepts smaller packages but the cost is never less than what it is for their minimum measurements. It has been like that since I started selling so it is unlikely to get changed anytime soon but as long as you enter the min. measurements the calculator should work. Some of your items are quite small so it's very likely that your dimensions are too small for the service. Note that expedited and regular parcel in Canada do not have the same minimums as US expedited. What are your dimensions for item 202941129829? What service do you have listed for the US and for other countries?
