Shipping problem

I have a very large and very valuable antique clock that I'm thinking of putting on e-bay.  My problem is shipping costs.  It has to be packed professionally. It weighs about 100 lbs.  How can I determine the shipping cost.  Would courier companies come to my home to give me a price?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I can't take it off the wall, pack it and then get it to a post office.  Thanks.

Couriers? Probably not. Their main business is moving business documents and small(ish) parcels.

What you need is a professional moving company. Look in the phone book and get at least three quotes. And don't allow them to quote over the phone. You will need a written on site quote for packing and shipping. Ask about insurance against damage.

Most companies will not pay out on damage insurance if the sender does his own packing.

The same goes for the hunting horn.

BTW, my niece buys Archie comics and the like for sending home to the Phillipines as introductions to English for her young cousins. This seems to be fairly common as I have heard local nannies say the same thing. A mention of this use for these might get a faster sale. (If you were really gung-ho about this, you could add a few sentences in Tagalog to your description, using Google Translate.)
