I had a buyer buy several items over 2 days of mine, ebay combined the items that were bought close together, but I could not find a way to combine the other items together. I told the buyer I would send him two seperate invoices for the items and one invoice wouldn't have a shipping charge(I don't charge extra for shipping several items this light). He said it'd be easier if I just sent him one combined invoice via paypal, I did so, he paid, great buyer. I marked it as payment received, however ebay still says checkout not cleared. Is this not allowed on ebay? I have already shipped the item, but am wondering if I somehow bypassed some kind of fees or something.
You can and should send a combined invoice from ebay. Here's how:
"You can combine all the items a buyer bought from you in a 30-day period into one invoice. Here's how:
First you need to turn on our Checkout feature:
1. Click My eBay at the top right of most pages and sign in.
2. Under the Account tab on the left, select Site Preferences.
3. Under Payment from buyers, click Show, and then Edit.
4. Check the box next to Use checkout, and click the Submit button.
To send a combined invoice:
1. In My eBay, click Sold on the left.
2. Click Send invoice for the first item.
All items purchased from your buyer will be added to the invoice automatically"
Also, before you send the combined invoice, make the necessary adjustments to shipping and the click on Preview (not recalculate). If the invoice is correct, Send the invoice. Stay away from the Recalculate button. It will add all the shipping from each item into the invoice.
