Bogus Offer?

I got an offer from the UK for 67% higher than my listed price. He won't use PayPal and want to do a bank transfer. He wants me to text him for shipping info but the area code of the # he gave doesn't show up in any of the UK area code listings. How do I check this out?

bank transfer.

PROBABLY* A SCAM

PROBABLY** A SCAM

Just ignore him and Block his ID. No need to check it out.

*Bank transfers are common and cheap in Europe but very very expensive in North America

Still probably a scam.

** Mobile phones often have area codes from where they were purchased, not where they are being used.

But with all the other red flags, still probably a scam.

Red flags all over the place on that one...has all the signs of a SCAM!

Do NOT accept the offer and I'd advise that you block the user.

If it sounds too good to be true it almost always is. You could forward the following link with the eBay policy on these sorts of situations for their reading pleasure. When spidey senses kick in...
