Changes to US shipping rates?

Hello,

Has there been changes made to US shipping rates?

Up until two days ago, I had the option to ship to the US using UPS for around $18 and Fedex for around $28. Now only Fedex is showing available and the cost is $50.

UPS and FedEx have rates that change with the demand for their services- like the surge pricing used by rideshare firms like Uber.

They have higher rates at busy times like the Christmas holidays.

Canada Post and licensed taxi firms have published rates and only change them occasionally.
