Lost tracking number, buyer say's they will file a dispute with Ebay Any advice as to what I can do

Where did you buy the shipping label?

Look at your purchase for the number.

If you bought through eBay in any way, the number should have posted automatically to your All Orders list on your Seller Hub.

But without the number, your only choice is to refund the buyer, since your only answer in a Not Received Dispute is either the number which will present Proof of Delivery.* or that the shipment is still in transit. Transit may give you a few days grace in a Dispute.

If you cannot present that Proof, you must promptly and voluntarily refund.

You can have a No Returns policy, but you cannot have a No Refunds policy.

This is why you will see the Old Lags here telling new sellers not to ship anything they cannot afford to lose. Not only because newbies attract scammers, but also because if something goes wrong you have no cushion of successful transactions.

*It is possible that the tracking does show Delivery, yet the buyer is also correct that she does not have the shipment. While mis-deliveries happen a lot, most deliveries by a huge margin go perfectly. Don't automatically think the buyer is a liar if you have Proof of Delivery.
