Question on Insured Shipping using Netparcel

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out how I can insure packages within Canada or to the US for over $100 when using Netparcel.  I usually get an error code, told to redo and go to third party, if I go over $100.  I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's standard policy not to insure over that amount. Seems odd as I'm sure many packages shipped are valued above that.  Canada Post labels out of ebay seem to be the same situation, no indicator for how much you want to insure the item for.  I am not sure how to protect myself using these two couriers, but they are the only ones I use and Netparcel (UPS) is the cheapest, hands down.  I also don't have access to chit chats or any other economy shipping companies.  I am getting into some higher priced listings and don't want to be out of pocket for underinsured items if they don't make it or get damaged.

I'd suggest getting a business account with Canada Post. The label cost is very slightly cheaper than eBay labels, and if you ship enough, you can reach higher tiers with bigger savings levels. The software allows you to purchase addional insurance.  You could also try something like Shipsurance or another similar company.

Keep in mind that many things can't be insured anyway (but they will still take your money). Definitely read the fine print.
