I've read some exchanges on "No Views and No Sales" but I will ask the same question regardless. I'm referring to some common used, collectible type of items on eBay.ca where I've been of the opinion for some time that people are just not seeing items on .ca however I experimented with listing similar items on eBay.com and the results were very little better. No I haven't used Promotions beyond pricing my items below what others are asking and that may even be counter-productive. I'd welcome any comments with thanks.
Did you know you will ship to Burkino Faso?
I don't see any great problems with your listings, except for the cost of shipping , the cross every Canadian seller bears. *sigh*
Do you get more sales with Fixed Price or with Auctions?
You have up to 50 Free Listings every month and we are told that the more listings we have, the higher we are likely to be in Search.
I've recently started moving my unsold listings from Good Til Cancelled to 30 day and then using Sell Similar in the hope that they are seen as fresh listings. Seems to be going well for me.
"Free" shipping is not free at all. Obviously someone is paying for it and that person in the final analysis is the buyer. Free shipping is marketing talk for "no shipping fee added at purchase".
However- heavy and bulky items that have to be shipped Parcel Rates which are based on distance as well as weight and dimensions, are not suitable for "free shipping".
It is possible to reduce the apparent cost by shifting some of the parcel price into the asking price
Which is cheapest?
A $15 item with $20 shipping?
A $20 item with $15 shipping?
A $25 item with $5 shipping?
It takes more massaging with parcel rates obviously. And since you should be using Calculated shipping to allow for distances, you have to downright lie about the size and weight of your parcel to make the Calculated shipping work out 'right'.
Shipping is hard.
