Selling US made items back to the US - tariffs

Anyone know for certain  if US made items or antiques being sold and shipped back to the US are subject to the same tariffs as items made outside of the US?  I have several old Rookwood vases, made in the US to sell.

From my view your vase shows as active on eBay. It is available to buyers in Blaine Washington (zip 98230 as an example).

You have two shipping options available to US buyers. Canada Post Expedited and you're in the eBay International Shipping program.

If they choose Canada Post you have to register with Zonos to find out for sure how much duty YOU, not your  buyer, will have to pay BEFORE Canada Post accepts your item to ship. Zonos's amount may differ from CPs amount. You won't know until you ship it. If you do that you can send the vase only the 49 kms directly through Richmond customs to Blaine .  The problem here is Zonos and it's owners are strong Trump supporters who, after he was elected lobbied for the elimination of the US de minimis so they could administer these tariffs. If that doesn't set well with you you might want to remove Expedited parcel from the US buyer options and stick with EIS.

If your buyer chooses EIS they will pay the $1.03 Import Fee that is currently showing on your listing when they clear checkout. As you're in BC you would then ship the vase to the Mississauga eBay hub. It will sit around there until they process it. Then the EIS team would forward it on to the buyer.  If your buyer is in Blaine Washington, through EIS your vase would ship to Mississauga first. Then is will be  forwarded back to the hypothetical buyer in Blaine.  Unfortunately your highly fragile vase will then travel well over 9000 kms with intensive handling and scanning to get the 49 kms to Blaine Washington.

There no longer is any guarantee of anything when it comes to items shipped from Canada to USA.

However, any made in USA items must have documentation that verifies the country of origin, and age of the items, otherwise said items "could" be subject to tariffs.
