Trying to decide whether to start up again with EBAY. Used to sell here and then got busy but am reviewing fees and comparing them.

Also trying to determine whether it would be more beneficial to just open a store.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Pro for EBAY is traffic

Pro for EBID is fees

Thanks, Sandy

EBay will charge you about 20% of the combined selling and shipping price as their fee. In addition, there are charges for the Store and for each listing.

However, if you have less than 54 unique items to list, you can go with the Free Auction Listings. You can have 50 on eBaydotCA and another 50 on eBaydotCOM.

As you probably know, dotCOM requires Canadians to use Flat Rate Shipping. And it is not easy to switch listings between the two sites.

My monthly eBay fees over my multiple accounts run several hundred dollars a month. By comparison, I just got a $5.64 invoice for listing on Bonanza. The difference is that I sell more in a day on eBay than I do in three months on Bonanza.

In my opinion, sales make profits not low fees.
