Is someone asking you to close the auction and sell to them privately?
Don't do that.
Not only does eBay forbid off-eBay sales, but anyone asking you to do so is probably a scammer.
Was texting involved? Scammer.
Was Paypal mentioned? Scammer.
Does the auction have several more days to run? Scammer.
Is the item "urgently needed" because blah blah blah? Scammer.
But if you just noticed a really dumb error on your part, you're safe enough.
