resizing ebay labels

Hi everyone,

Some of the items I am selling are small. The ebay labels provided are too big for them. For example, I have a package whose dimensions are 6cmx6cmx3cm. Is there a way to resize an ebay label to fit it?

Thank you for your help.

The first thing is that I wouldn't ship a package in a mailer that small. Canada Post has minimum package requirements. You're not saving any money on shipping rates by shipping it that small compared to using a 6"x4" bubble mailer. Granted, I am not saying they will reject your package if you drop it in a mail box. It may still get delivered, but it's pointless to ship something in packaging that small.

My advice would be to take the package as you have it now, and place it in a paper or bubble mailer. Then place the label on the mailer.

To answer your actual question, when you print something out on a computer there should be an option called something like "scale" that allows you to alter a percentage. The default percentage is 100. You can lower the percentage down to get it to print smaller.

I put packages like that into a kraft envelope that is much cheaper than a bubble mailer, just to have more label room.  This is assuming that the parcel already provides protection for the item and the envelope is just for label real estates.

When printing you can also scale down the size of the output - which I do for smaller boxes.

That's like half the size of a smart phone screen lol. Some of the older postie might have trouble reading the address if it's printed on a label *that* small... I'd also imagine something that tiny would be more prone to go missing in the mail stream.....

But yes like the other posters suggested, it's waaaay too small and under Canada Post's minimal size requirement, and you should just use a bubble mailer that meets the requirement. You'd still be mailing it with the <100g parcel options anyway, since it's too thick for Lettermail.

I personally do resize my labels to 80% of original size (it fits my packages well and still readable) using the computer's default resizing option.

I believe that is less than the minimum size allowed by Canada Post (and USPS). Slide it in a bubble mailer or use a larger box.
