All of my listings were cancelled suddenly!

Hi guys, hope all is well. I was listing items the other day and all of a sudden, I started receiving email notification from eBay and it turns out that my active listings were being cancelled one by one until all of my 1800 listings were taken down. I don't know if someone hacked into my account and did this or eBay has. I've gotten a response from eBay and they just notified me that they need some personal information to confirm if I am the account owner. Has anyone had this experience? Thanks in advance!

EBay does ask for further information as an identity check from time to time, and we see enough here about hijacked accounts to understand why it can be important.

Thanks for the tag @femmefan1946! Hi @vintagedepottoronto - there are a number of reasons why you'd see items removed. In all of those situations we should be contacting you via eBay message with an explanation as to why, and what actions you can take (if any) to have those items reinstated. Please review the message there and that will let you know the next steps to take!

tyler@ebay  and @femmefan1946 thank you so much both of you. I have taken many steps to contact the accounts department. It is slightly frustrating as you have given me a human like response yet through the messages, I am unable to say the same. Feels more like a generic robotic response. I wish there was a phone number I can call to speak to someone over the phone rather than having to respond to a message then having to wait upto 48 hours for an answer that does not so much help. Anyways, I appreciate both of you again for trying to help out. @Tyler, if there is absolutely anything you can do, I'll be more than happy to provide more info and background story to you in the messages. @vintagedepottoronto - that's definitely both frustrating and discouraging! Most of our phone teammates have had to move to work from home, and because we want to provide the best phone experience audio-quality wise as well as preventing excessive wait times calling options are being brought back slowly. In most cases, you'll see a 'have us call you' option before a 'call us' option comes back. To see if there is phone support for this issue use the Help&Contact option in the upper left and then the 'Contact Us' option at the bottom of the page. Make sure that you input the reason you're contacting, and the system will check to see if there is a phone option available. If you only see 'chat us' or 'email us' then the next best option would be to consider contacting our social media teams. They're available on Facebook and Twitter and they're a great team to work with. There will still be delays in replies due to volume but they're experts at what they do.
