What does it mean?

The Bell Notification system, which is a pain in itself and which I am still hoping someone will be able to tell me how to disable, has the following statement.

"Stop receiving notifications for this item"

And then the options:-

"Turn Off" and "Leave On"

If I use "Turn Off" then I keep getting notifications which is not surprising as the two statements are the equivalent of a double negative!!!

If I use "Leave On" it would appear that I still want notifications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do I stop getting repeated notifications of items I won, lost or deleted as neither choice works?  Even more important how do I stop getting them at all?

Oh, I WISH I knew how to disable that bell. It is nothing but an annoyance and a nuisance to me. The only setting preferences in Account Settings are for email notifications. Perhaps if enough people complain about it, an adjustment will be made.

I am in New Zealand and to phone eBay would cost an arm and a leg. If you are in Canada are you able to phone/email them to get an answer?
