I see that auction style listings get the most traffic in general, but is it the same if the item is in a store or not? And do you save money if the auction is for 7 days each time?

I have started to put a note on each of my listings to contact me for exact shipping costs, because ebay's shipping calculator may be driving away potential buyers. Their results are always way off the mark.
