sometime early november of last year i purchased a gameboy advance lot on ebay for around 200$, after months of waiting for an update, i contacted the seller, they said someone had died in their family and they will send is as soon as possible. months, still no update, contact them again. they say they will send it today. nothing. i open a request that the item has not been sent. they say close the report and theyll send it. i refuse, because i wont be able to open another request and i had a feeling this is a scam artist. no response, eventually the request auto closes, i message them, its closed, now can you send it. no response. now its been over 90 days and the item is gone from ebay systems and i cant request anything or even contact ebay about it without it in the system. can someone PLEASE help. this is a significant sum of money. i will provide photos if needed.
You probably shouldn't have let your refund request close without taking action on it, but there may be another way to get your funds returned.
How did you fund your payment? If you paid through PayPal, you might still be within the timeframe to file an "item not received" case through them. You have 180 days from when you made your payment to file.
If you used a credit card to fund your payment, contact your card issuer to find out their procedures for making a similar claim through them. But go through PayPal first if you used your credit card on PayPal.
If you used Paypal to pay for the item, open a Not Received dispute TODAY.
The PP Resolution Centre is at the top of your PP account page under Activities.
Time is very short, you only have 180 days from payment.
If you did not use PP or if you paid directly with your credit card, phone the 1-800 customer service number on the card or your monthly invoice and enquire about a chargeback. Policies differ depending on the card and the services it offers.
