i bought a laptop and it finally shipped on the last day it was supposed to be delivered but i put the tracking number on fedex and it is going to a completely different country. the seller is saying to contact ebay since they handle shipping but i don't see the option to report that i didn't recieve the item anymore. what can i do?
Is the shipping method that's stated on the listing page "eBay International Shipping"?
Where is the laptop now?
Does the seller currently have anything else for sale?
So to make sure I'm understanding you, the last estimated date for the item's delivery is today or tomorrow-ish and it only just got shipped out to you?
Well I am in Canada and Ascendia handled my shipment to the US / Canada border but no idea where the OP is located so kinda of hard to determine what is going on. The shipment should show the overall final destination after the eIS hub processes the order.
I am wondering if the OP is seeing the delivery date in eBay tracking for delivery of the item to the depot in Illinois rather than delivery to the final destination? I was caught by the tracking information that eBay shows, thinking it was being delivered to me when in fact that was to the eIS depot delivery date?
That’s one idea I’m entertaining, @theoldestfart. Another possibility is that if eIS has shipped the item with DHL or Ascendia, it may have gone to a European location for processing.
The tracking in eBay usually makes it clear that there are several steps involved in transporting the item to the buyer and identifies the steps as "Seller to hub", "Hub to you", etc. If the buyer looks the tracking up on the carrier's website, these steps aren't nearly as obvious.
