When I list an item on eBay.ca, I enter weight as 240g size as 8x8x2 But on asking for the calculation it only offers the letter service with a max 50g. What about parcel services etc.?
Those dimensions are below the minimums allowed for parcel services. Try 14 X 9. The minimum requirements vary by service and domestic versus foreign too.
