What if seller delays shipping?

I bought an item on Jan 1st.  Seller didn't ship it out until Jan 14th.  I cannot find an Ebay policy on this but there must be an expectation that the seller needs to ship within some reasonable timeframe, like 48 hrs.  And if he doesn't, what recourse do I have?

I was away for the period of Dec 18 to Jan 4/20, my store was open with a vacation message and handling period of 15 days.  I emailed all of my buyers to remind them I was away, most noticed but there were 1 or 2 that didn't.  As soon as I got back, I took off the vacation notice so if you now looked at the listing they purchased, they wouldn't see it.  Maybe they were on vacation and you didn't notice.
