I have a buyer in the US (I’m in Canada) who sent a “changed mind” return via UPS.
I had specified in messages that it would need to be sent back via USPS, or UPS Expedited, so no brokerage fees would be charged to me. She sent it UPS, but not Expedited. Luckily, she did mark it as a return, so there shouldn't be any duties or taxes.
I'm assuming when it arrives in the next day or two that I will be charged a hefty brokerage fee.
Am I allowed to deduct the brokerage fee from the refund?
This is my first ever return, and it was a $360US figurine.
