Can I end an auction early without penalty?

I have a bidder who has asked me if I can end my listing early. She is the only bidder on the item and she has bought about 30 more more items from me in the last week so I am happy to let her have the item for her bid amount. She doesnt want to wait another 2 days for it to end and I dont blame her. Can I end the auction early without being penalized?

It's not the case here, since you seem tohave a loyal and enthusiastic buyer (Way To Go!!) but a request to end an auction early is often a sketchey situation.

For the benefit of newbie sellers, first remember that auctions often get no bids until the last few hours of the auction.

A cherrypicking eBayer will contact a new seller, without bidding, and ask that the auction be ended and sold to him (for his kid's birthday present, because he needs it on vacation, because ....because... ). The amount offered is higher than the current price.

What he does not say is that the high bid is not the current winner's maximum bid, that there may be other bidders watching the auction, or that there may be electronic snipe bids set up already.

The offer will be below current eBay market value.

In such cases, and again, this is not such a case, it is best for the seller to encourage the member to bid and take his chances.
