Hi. I have had an account with ebay since 2000. I just sold an item a few days ago. I just received an email from ebay telling the buyer has paid for the item. I read further in the email that Ebay is holding my money until item is received. I have never heard of this before. I have sold items in the past without this hold onto funds. Can someone shed light on this. Thanks in advance.

I am in the same boat and this has never happened to me before also. The buyer has the product and I have nothing. I was ready to list tons of stuff and have pulled my recent listings.

There is no reason to give up that quickly, you just need a little patience going forward. I've been there and I have experienced this situation>> I didn't list/sell for 6+ months during 2021 and when I decided to return to eBay, well there it was: the payment holds, the listing limits/restrictions. However, I marched onward, quickly got my listing limits increased, and each month thereafter the listing limits were increased and now are more than adequate for my needs. As to the payment holds, that only lasted for the first couple of sales and from then on all was good. It's doable, it's all doable, but it takes Patience!
