HI Does anybody else see a situation where EBAY does not understand the meaning of the word AUCTION or how to manage their business correctly?

Oh you have to go to Seattle where eBay has their head office.

All the auctions are called aloud by their staff auctioneers. There are reportedly now over four million auctioneers on staff now, all yelling at the same time "going once , going twice..."

There is a move afoot at the Seattle City Council to have the noise bylaw lifted in the area around the eBay HQ so the company, which is an important local employer, will not have to pay all those fines after noise complaints.

On the other hand, the auction action has become a huge tourist attraction. Bigger than the Space Needle.

Seriously, there are called auctions, and mail auctions, and dutch auctions, and catalog auctions, and reserve auctions, and I've probably missed a few.

EBay auctions end at a fixed time. Like mail auctions.

EBay auctions are all reserved. No one can bid less than the opening bid. Some auctions have further reserves.

EBay auctions sell to the highest bidder.
