HI, I am wondering how some Canadian sellers are able to sell silver and gold coins. I attempted to list a few and an error messaged appeared saying that the items were not allowed because of managed payments or something to that effect. How would I get this changed as many Canadian sellers have the ability to sell these items?
Hi @pspguitar - the .com site is onboarding the coins and bullion categories over the next month. I've requested info on if that will be the same for .ca but have yet to hear back. I'll update you as I do!
Those Canadian sellers are not in Managed Payments yet so that's why they are able to list coins. Managed Payments will be accepting listings for coins in the next while though I'm not sure if it will be on both .com and .ca or if it will start out just on .com. Right now there is nothing that you can do but wait...I know that it is frustrating.
If you are included in the next bunch for "mandatory" enrollment into MP and you currently have listings for coins and currency(or any of the other excluded categories) what happens to those listings once you've been fully enrolled? Do they disappear into oblivion never to be seen from again? This is most important to know seeing as these concerns have never been FULLY addressed or answered on the Canadian side.

You should be able to spot whether or not a seller is in Managed Payments by looking at the payments he accepts.
If he is with PP, the list will be PP, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discovery.
If he is with PP, the list will be PP, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discovery, ApplePay, GooglePay.
