Ebay.ca requested that I submit my Tax Identification Number (SIN) as per CRA requirements. I did send the info and got an acknowledgement back from Ebay. In the letter they stated "We will make this information available to you following submission to the CRA". I have not received this information. I called Ebay and they didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. Said they would get back to me but sofar nothing. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

in early january i had this request and unfortunately i fell for it as i was in ebay listing at the time. then they wanted my social insurance number, drivers licence pics front and back, birthdate etc. i was sick at the time but shortly relize that i had been scammed and my personal info had been stolen. ebay at the moment seems to be more interested in raising fees. they are again asking me to raise promoted listing fee, i am not complying so i am not making any sales including my regular buyers.
