Hello All,
I am a new seller on Ebay.ca, and have a variety of items for sale, ranging in price from inexpensive to pricey. When shipping via Canada Post Expedited parcel to the U.S. or internationally, is signature required an option? Or do I have to use ExpressPost in order to get a signature.? Should I require a signature, or just get pay for full insurance, or both? It seems the signature option really drives up the price of shipping drastically!

Ebay and PayPal require a seller to have signature confirmation in order to win an item not received case if an item plus shipping is C$850 / US$750. I might use it if an item is $300+ but for the most part, I don’t see how it benefits a seller. If it isn’t required, it definitely isn’t worth upgrading a service to Xpresspost outside of Canada because of the price difference. Note that in some countries, a signature isn’t guaranteed even with xpresspost.
