What do I do now?

I sold an item and was paid, then I shipped the item. Ebay now informs me that they are cancelling the listing.  I cannot get the package back as it is now in the US, what do i do now.?

I've had similar situation when the transaction was cancelled because the buyer's account was suspicious or something similar.  The item has already been mailed just like in your situation and I had already been paid and I was able to keep the money.  I actually never heard anything else about it.  Ebay had told me the item was ok to ship so at that point it was their responsibility if there was then a problem with the user.

 

If your payment is still pending, you should still receive it once the item shows as delivered to the payment address.  Was there delivery confirmation on the package?

 

Without showing personal information, what is the exact message that you got from eBay ?

If the item already showed as having been shipped, I don't think that you have to do anything but it would help if you shared the message you received.

Do you mean the buyer requested cancellation after it was shipped? If so they can't "cancel" and will have to wait until they receive item and then request a refund at which point you can send them a return label. At this point  (after paid for and shipped) it would have to be a refund not a cancellation.

Or do you mean eBay themselves cancelled? If so what was reason given, was it an item that wasn't allowed to be sold/against policy? Either way once paid for and shipped out it would no longer be a "cancellation" it would be refund I would think but as mentioned above that can't be done until item was received and sent back. Can you give any more details?

Sorry my question might have been misleading. It was not the customer cancelling the listing it was ebay , but why? they have all the info and know that the item has been shipped.

If the customer complains in future, you may be dealing with a Paypal or credit card dispute, so I hope you have a tracking number.

Most of those disputes are solved by showing Proof of Delivery.

With PP, a Not As Described dispute allows you to demand the return of the disputed purchase before shipping, even if you have a No Returns policy.

And PP wants the buyer to pay for return shipping, which discourages all but the most unhappy buyers.

The item will be delivered in a couple of days, and yes, they are holding the funds. So this happened to you, I will wait and see what happens after said item is delivered. Thank you for your help.

It was cancelled because there was an issue with the buyers account. Ebay cancelled all of their open transactions. Ebay told me to relist but the item will arrive in a couple of days. I cannot get it back because it is not in Canada yet the money is on hold until item delivered. 

I followed the format of the auction and shipped within the three days, it had been in transit 7days before I was informed of the situation.
