how do I end an auction early to sell to the current bidder
However.
As a new seller you should know that some sketchey buyers will try to persuade naive sellers to end an auction early by making an offer, when there are still no bids.
You should know that unless you have Best Offer on your auction, that buyer is breaking the rules.
You should know that most bids arrive in the last few hours or even minutes of the auction.
And if your buyer is saying he needs it in a hurry, back away . He is trying to bully you or he is impatient. Neither is likely to lead to a pleasant sale.
Politely invite the customer to bid and take his chances. Often these bottomfeeders know that the item is likely to go higher and wants to get it cheaper than it would go for if the auction was allowed to continue.
