HST is a percentage.

Doesn't matter if it's a percentage of loonies, or US dollars, or euros, or rubles, or rupees.

Same percentage.

Then use xe.com to figure out the value of that currency in loonies..

IF and only IF you are registered to remit the HST.

BTW you should also have your number printed on your invoices.

Unless you are registered to remit taxes to the Canadian governments, don't even think about it.

Revenue gets quite snippy about that.

If you are selling $30,000CDN or more, you should already be registered. And should also have a bookkeeper or accountant who understands import/export as part of online international selling.

Don't forget that you may have more in import tax credits than you have to charge your customers and remit to the Revenue.

Do you mean "How do I charge GST/HST on my eBay.COM listings?"

You don't. As far as I know, you check a box on the Item Selling Form that allows ebay to do it on your behalf. It must be done prior to listing and definitely prior to selling it. Then ebay collects it as part of the buyer payment and it is remit to you to again remit to CRA when you submit your monthly GST-type billings.

If this is about the hockey card you recently sold for $400 USD, it's not your job to collect taxes on it unless you are a registered Canadian business with associated tax number and it sold to a fellow Canadian. Is this the case?

Or are you asking instead as a buyer about import fees? Your question is too vague to answer properly.
